Umphrey’s McGee
Seasons
Didn't really want to work that hard
Figured I would find a part
Much quicker than I did
Soon as I picked you up - I couldn't get enough
And wonder why I waited

Shouldn't have to play that card
But I know I have to start
Sometime to find an end
And then what once was mine - gets ripped up and divided
So what's the point in trying
I want it all but I am motivated to a crawl
And I don't see it either way
So if you've got a better song well I can't wait to sing along
But how long do we have to wait

Seasons come and go and everything it has to change
Just like everyone around me - but I still feel the same
So I look beyond the mirror 'cause I know I can’t forgive
All my indiscretions I'm still learning how to live

Never thought I'd get this far - but you know I have the scars
To remind me I'm OK
And all my memories - they come back differently
But they don't look the same
It's always simple but I get hung up on principles
They're only getting in the way
And so you realize it's never yours it's never mine
We make a home and hope to stay
Seasons come and go and everything it has to change
Just like everyone around me - but I still feel the same
So I look beyond the mirror 'cause I know I can’t forgive
All my indiscretions - I'm still learning how to live
With the reasons 'cause they're different
But the feeling still compares
It's just another opportunity in case you're unaware
Of the facts and the opinions and the differences they share
I'm just trying to tell now you so you know I still care

If I could change a single thing about me
Where should I start to peel apart the fabric 'cause I know you're right
So if it's possible to make myself responsible
I'll set the table if you’ll make yourself available

If I could change a single thing about me
Where should I start to peel apart the fabric 'cause I know you're right
So if it's possible to make myself responsible
I'll set the table if you’ll make yourself available
