Morning
Every morning when I walk out my front door
I tuck my jeans and my socks, lace up
My hat, tops, I'm ready to go
Walking down the sidewalk
I hear the people talk about the current events
And I begin my step
I gotta keep my eyes forward
Gotta make it to the corner
For the news of the world
Where all the pretty girls stand around
And go chitchat, chitchat, chitchat
It's a ritual
And I do it everyday
Just to hear my friends say
Hey, let me tell you about it

Every morning is a brand-new day
For you and me
What a great opportunity
Every morning is another way
To dance and sing
Ain't life a beautiful thing?

I hear the birds and the bees in my neighborhood
Spend a couple of hours just smelling the flowers
And I feel really good
Stop by the bodega
Check my phone for some data and there's plenty left
So I ease my step
I gotta keep a pace going but I might be slowing down
Gonna take my time for some peace of mind
And no more of the "Who's that?", "What's that?", "Why's that?", "How's that?"
It's habitual
And I do it everyday
Just to hear my friends say
Hey, let me tell you about it

Every morning is a brand-new day
For you and me
What a great opportunity
Every morning is another way
To dance and sing
Ain't life a beautiful thing?

Every morning when I walk out my front door
I know another new day is getting underway
And I'm ready to go
Walking down the street and I feel complete
I'm in the right mindset
So I begin my step
I gotta keep my eyes forward
Gotta make it to the corner
For the news of the world
Where all the pretty girls stand around
And go chitchat, chitchat, chitchat
It's spiritual
And I do it everyday just to hear my friends say
Hey, let me tell you about it

Every morning is a brand-new day
For you and me
What a great opportunity
Every morning is another way
To dance and sing
Ain't life a beautiful thing?

Every morning
Every morning
Every morning
Every morning
Every morning
